Why I became
a Food Blogger?

Welcome to NOM BY INA, a food blog dedicated to sharing my love for cooking. I am Tina Chan, a single mom, and a passionate food enthusiast. I started this food blog with the intention of sharing my love for cooking with my daughter. As a family, we've always enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes. In fact, over the past five years, I have cooked almost 500 different dishes inspired by food journalists, bloggers, YouTubers, and Instagrammers. My culinary journey started in college when I fell in love with Nigella Lawson's cookbooks. Her simple yet delicious recipes inspired me to experiment in the kitchen.

NOM BY INA means Delicious food by a Mother. The name comes from a combination of 'Nom nom,' which is an exclamation indicating enjoyment of delicious food, and 'Ina,' based on my name 'Tina', which means mother, home, or a sense of belonging, reflecting the warmth and comfort that comes from sharing a meal with loved ones. The three circles in my logo represent the three people I usually cook for my father, daughter, and myself. My recipes are designed for three diners, making cooking easy for your small family.

I am also a co-founder of OANINA.com, a mindful living blog. The last three letters, 'ina' in 'OANINA', represent me. Cooking and eating healthy are essential parts of mindful living, and I'm excited to share my favorite recipes and tips with you.
